This is the premium version of the padded collar in black drum-dyed leather with hand-finished edges. Made in the five-hole style, with two layers of 1/4"-thick premium leather, and a center “safety” ring that will swivel and twist a little, to help your dog free himself if he gets hung up on brush. There is no D-ring on this collar, so the center ring is also used to attach a lead. Nickel-plated roller buckle and center ring accent the black leather, making for a very attractive collar. The inner layer of extra soft leather is rolled on the outside edges for a polished look and it pads the collar for extra comfort. The leather on the outside of the collar is soft and supple, yet sturdy to last a long time.
 
The stitching and finishing of the tucked ends of this collar are just a grade higher than the everyday padded collar--more attention to detail makes this a better overall product, for a few dollars more. So when you don't quite need the superior quality of a Mendota collar but want something just a little more finished than the everyday version, give this great collar a try.

MEASURING FOR A COLLAR
Before deciding the size, please take a moment to measure your dog's neck, using a cloth measuring tape or string, twine, etc. Measure, wrapping the tape or string about as tightly as the collar should sit on your dog's neck--not too tight. If using string, then hold the final length up to a ruler or yardstick to determine its length. If in doubt, go to the next larger size--you can always adjust a collar that is slightly too big, not so much with a collar that's too small. This will help prevent an exchange, which just wrecks everyone's day!  : )
