You'll appreciate the value of this rolled leather collar. Nice quality, supple, single-ply leather in a pleasant saddle-brown shade. I would call this a 'medium-duty' collar, rather than a 'heavy-duty-will-stand-up-to-anything' collar. These are made to last, however, with solid brass fittings and sturdy 3/16"-thick leather construction in a five-hole style (four holes on smaller sizes). The collar is flat near the buckle and at the hole-end to accommodate buckling the collar, and two brass rivets anchor the buckle and D-ring.

The fittings do not have the high polish of the premium version of this collar, but sport a more 'rustic' look that I personally prefer. I guess you could say that the collar looks 'already broken in', just like jeans that are pre-washed and distressed when you buy them. If you want superior appearance and good, stiff leather, have a look at the premium collars and padded collars.

Reviews show that buyers are pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price, and we agree. A nice little collar at an everyday price. The 'little black dress' of collars, you might say!

Before deciding the size, please take a moment to measure your dog's neck, using a cloth measuring tape or string, twine, etc. Measure, wrapping the tape or string about as tightly as the collar should sit on your dog's neck--not too tight. If using string, then hold the final length up to a ruler or yardstick to determine its length. If in doubt, go to the next larger size--you can always adjust a collar that is slightly too big, not so much with a collar that's too small. This will help prevent an exchange, which just wrecks everyone's day!  : )
